Greetings from England

Again it's a while since we last updated our lovely blog, so I thought I would give it a go!

Due to the fact that I recently came back from my work practice in England this update will be in English. I had an absolutely amazing summer, and I would like to first of all thank my school for giving me this kind of opportunity! I worked in a four star hotel in Hastings (which is on the south coast of England) called Bannatyne Spa Hotel. I never thought I would say this but I actually worked as a receptionist, and loved it!
Please check out theyr website! http://www.bannatyne.co.uk/hotel/hastings/
The only thing that really bothered me was the fact that the receptionists had to dress up as Barbies. Aka. Pen skirt, stockings, three layers of makeup and fake nails. If you knew me well enough you would understand that that is not really me. Then again as my mom always used to say, "When in Rome, do as the Romans do".
My work practice was for 6 weeks but after the second week the hotel already offered me a job there for over the summer. I was thrilled, said yes and well... You know the rest. I would love to write so much more about who I met and what happened over the summer but unfortionately I´ve got professional secrecy. (=Tystnadsplikt. Det var dagens engelska timme det.)
Now I'm back to reality, in school that is. (Finally! I missed my friends so much!) My original plan was to over the summer save money so I can keep on studying normally (without having to work and study at the same time just to pay the rent) but unfortunately thought I did get paid from the hotel the money wasn't enough.

Funny when you look at it, I planned to come back with a suitcase full of money. But instead I came back with an empty suitcase and a head filled with unforgettable moments, new friends, lots of knowledge and much much more that money could never buy.

Thank you once again.
